The Supervisor, Senators’ Services supervises staff responsible for the set-up and servicing of Senate Committee rooms and other office support services. Staff supervision includes developing rosters and monitoring day-to-day tasks. The occupant of this position works with supervisors to manage staff resources to ensure the section meets its customer service obligations.
The Supervisor, Senators’ Services responds to client requests in a timely manner and in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. In carrying out these duties, they liaise with senators, their staff, employees and external service providers.
As a cooperative team member, the Supervisor, Senators’ Services assists others in the section by carrying out additional duties when the section’s workload is high and when staffing levels are low. The Supervisor, Senators’ Services works across teams and is willing to learn new and additional tasks.
The Supervisor, Senators’ Services is client-focused, has excellent communication skills and is able to follow directions, policies and procedures.
This position requires the lifting and moving of large and heavy items in a safe manner.
The occupant of this position must be willing to work overtime as required and in accordance with the Senate sitting pattern.
