**About the opportunity**

On a day-to-day basis, the Assessment and Contracts Officer’s responsibilities will include:

- working as part of a team to ensure that the Branch’s responsibilities are effectively achieved;
- assisting with the administration and maintenance of the Department of Treasury and Finance Prequalification Scheme and the Technology Services List;
- undertaking research, investigation and analysis into contemporary procurement issues and practices;
- liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely and accurate advice in relation to the Department of Treasury and Finance Prequalification Scheme and the Technology Services List;
- providing support and/or participating in whole-of-government procurement processes;
- assisting with the operation and maintenance of the Tasmanian Government Purchasing and Tenders websites; and
- preparing a range of written material, including briefings, memorandums, correspondence and reports, as required.

**About the Branch**

The primary responsibilities of the Procurement, Risk and Contract Management Branch are to provide advice on and manage the Government’s procurement policy and framework; manage whole‑of‑government contracting arrangements; and to proactively minimise the cost of risk to government agencies through the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund.

Fixed-term Flexible up to 4 August 2027.
