Workshop Assistant

We are looking for someone to join our family-run 4WD fabrication business based in Unanderra, NSW.
Our primary line of business is manufacturing 4WD intake systems (i.e. Snorkels, Airboxes etc) that are shipped Australia wide however, we do also complete custom jobs such as touring fit outs, general welding repairs and installations of 4WD accessories.
We are seeking someone who has a genuine interest in 4WD’s and is eager to learn a lot about the fabrication trade and the 4WD industry.
You will be required to work between 10-15hrs per week. The specific hours and days required will be rostered in accordance with your personal needs and our business needs and will be disclosed to you a month in advance. There is the potential for overtime to be offered sporadically based upon business needs.

Your duties will consist of but are not limited to:

- Day-to-day clean-up of the workshop
- Picking up or dropping off stock or supplies from local businesses
- Using machinery such as a CNC Plasma Cutter, Hydraulic Pan Brake, Bandsaw and the Welder (following vigorous training)
- Assistance with stock monitoring
- Assembling Airboxes and packing online orders
- Other general assistance to ensure the workshop runs smoothly and efficiently

What you need to get the job done:

- Drivers’ licence
- Forklift licence - although not a deal breaker
- Good time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Display a high level of integrity, honesty and reliability
- A can-do attitude and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty
- A genuine interest in the 4WD industry
- Be a team player

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
