Fabricator & Installer – High-End Architectural Concrete Benches and Furniture

Full Time | Mon–Fri | 38+ hours | Workshop & Onsite | NSW

We're Set In Steel / Slabs By Design– a boutique fabrication company specialising in custom architectural concrete. We create statement pieces: polished concrete kitchen benches, outdoor BBQ units, bathtubs, basins, seating, sculptural furniture, and more.

Our work is precise, bold, and detail-driven – and we're looking for someone who is exactly that.

We're on the hunt for a highly capable and accountable Fabricator & Installer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, full-time position, with your week split between our workshop and on-site installations.

You'll be someone who:

Has a sharp eye for detail and craftsmanship

Thrives on problem-solving and delivering high-end, accurate finishes

Can work autonomously and lead others when needed

Takes ownership of your work and doesn't cut corners

Communicates confidently with clients, designers, builders, and our internal team

Follows instructions with precision and respects our systems and methods

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricating detailed and complex formwork to tight tolerances
  • Pre-finishing and pre-fitting concrete pieces before installation
  • On-site delivery and installation, ensuring exact fit and finish
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, understanding site conditions and project briefs
  • Communicating with project stakeholders in a clear, confident, and professional manner
  • Running daily huddles and assisting in coordinating small teams
  • Maintaining a clean, safe workspace and upholding quality standards at all times
What You'll Need
  • Trade or hands-on experience in concrete, cabinetry, carpentry, or similar
  • A high attention to detail and pride in your craftsmanship
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
  • Driver's licence & White Card (required)
  • Forklift licence (a bonus, not essential)
  • Excellent time management and reliability
  • The ability to follow direction, work to deadlines, and never cut corners
  • Physically fit
