Geelong and Barwon Simply Helping is an NDIS and Aged Care Provider, dedicated to delivering exceptional in-home care. Our mission is to provide skilled and trusted in-home care and support services that add value, meaning and dignity to the lives of others.
**Position Overview**:
As a Rostering Officer, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimising Home Care Employee's rosters to ensure appropriate coverage across various service areas and shifts. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate with different teams will contribute to the seamless functioning of our operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provision vacancy communications for all shifts not filled,
- Develop and maintain staff rosters based on operational requirements, employee availability, and workload demands,
- Collaborate closely with department managers to understand their staffing needs and preferences,
- Monitor and adjust rosters to accommodate changes such as shift changes, time-off requests, and unforeseen absences,
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies while creating rosters,
- Generate reports and provide insights on rostering efficiency, staff utilisation, and other relevant metrics,
- Communicate effectively with Home Care Employees regarding their schedules, ensuring clarity and addressing any concerns,
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve rostering processes and systems.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, or workforce planning is highly preferred,
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees and managers effectively,
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining privacy and confidentiality,
- Ability to effectively create positive connections with people, without bias, inclusively and respectfully, valuing their perspective, choices, decisions, and rights,
- Proficiency in rostering software or tools is a plus,
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines,
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
**Minimum Role Requirements**:
As a condition of employment, the following compliance items are required:
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Covid-19 Vaccinated (or valid exclusion certificate)

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
