**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Business Development Executive to work with the senior leadership team to help drive the strategic direction for the company's growth and future success by seeking new tender opportunities and coordinating the bid portfolio, expanding and maintaining our diverse network of industry clients and partners, and cultivating our public profile through shrewd marketing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and engineering sectors.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including other clients, vendors, potential partners, and other relevant resources.
- Respond to inbound project leads and proactively seek out tenders and expressions of interest (EOIs) via tender portals and client contact networks.
- Organise, coordinate and work with tendering teams, project managers, commercial and finance staff and senior leadership to ensure timely, compliant, and competitive proposals. Monitor the full slate of tenders and keep track of submission requirements and deadlines.
- Serve as a key point of contact for new and potential clients and oversee formal communication and prequalification processes.
- Engage in marketing activities aimed at increasing company visibility including updating and maintaining the company’s online presence (website, social media, vendor portals and subscriptions) and capability statements.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and directors to align business development efforts with operational capacity.

**Relevant Skills & Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in sales and tendering, preferably within the engineering and construction industry.
- High attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills to manage and meet deadline for multiple EOI's and tenders with competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders including clients, subcontractors and internal teams. Confidence as a client-facing company representative is essential.
- Strong goal-oriented focus and ability to work seamlessly with a multi-disciplinary team to meet deadlines and ensure compliance, competitiveness and risk mitigation in our operations.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred.
