Salary range: $125,964 to $147,264 plus statutory super

The Risk and Regulatory Compliance Manager role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their expertise and leadership to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers.

With expert knowledge of risk management and compliance, strong professional affiliations and a wide network of Risk Management and Compliance, the role will ensure VIT is well informed in proportionate and risk-based decision making and in fulfilling the organisation's compliance obligations.

**About the role**

Be part of a forward-thinking, risk-based regulator where ideas and opinions are valued. This role will require you to:

- implement a continuous improvement process applied to the current risk practices and registers and ensure that the risk framework recognises all aspects of the organisation's functions
- create new or amend existing policies, procedures, and assessments to enhance VIT's risk and compliance frameworks
- manage regular risk reviews and work with staff to implement corrective action plans
- manage the delivery of the annual cycle of reporting to meet VIT compliance requirements
- provide end-to-end secretariat support to the VIT Audit, Risk Management and Finance Committee
- maintain business continuity and incident management plans and coordinate annual tests to ensure that these remain current
- manage the relationship with VIT's internal auditors to successfully deliver on the agreed assurance program
- provide expert advice to VIT's Executive, Council and Audit, Risk Management and Finance Committee
- undertake other duties as directed by Director Shared Services Branch.

**About you**

As an experienced risk and regulatory compliance manager, you will have sound and practical knowledge of current risk management and compliance standards. You will have experience working with all levels of staff across an organisation including audit and risk committees and boards, and ideally a passion for making a difference in decision making including frameworks conducive to supporting the reduction of uncertainty in meeting VIT objectives.
