We are hiring for a dynamic Vendor Business Manager. Who will work as a liaison between vendors and Ingram Micro and will provide specialised consultative service and implement, drive and maintain vendor programs, marketing, and training; review and negotiate terms of vendor contracts and communicate with vendors regarding day-to-day matters; build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and monitor vendor performance; research invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies.
About the role:
The role has the responsibility to ensure that the Vendor partnership is managed profitably for Ingram Micro. This entails managing the Vendor agreement with close attention in relation to profitability (GM$ & GM %), rebates, co-op, claims, forecasting demand by product code and Product group, inventory management, evaluation stock, sales support and any financial benefits available from the vendor is required. The Vendor Business Manager has to be cognizant of the market positioning for the Vendor's products and actively seek feedback from customers on pricing, competitors' performance and product trends. Marketing, bundles and promotions will be a key driver in the success of this role and a close relationship will need to be developed with our internal marketing team and applicable Product Managers
About You:
- Build and maintain tight relationships and regular contact and relationship with all key vendor personnel.
- Experienced in multiple market sectors, with a strong business acumen.
- Strategic mindset, passionate, energetic and creative.
- Highly autonomous and able to drive change.
- Effective communication skills and proven success working with cross functional teams with the ability to build credible stakeholder relationships and engagement
- Results-driven, customer focused, accurate and analytical.
- Methodical with outstanding organisational and time management skills.
- Able to plan and implement marketing plans and achieve business objectives.
- Experienced in multiple market sectors, with a strong business acumen.
- Ability to thrive within an innovative, fast-paced and competitive environment.
- Product management/sales/procurement and marketing positioning experience.
- A marketing qualification is desirable.
- Strong Excel/MS Office skills, financial/numeric skills to work with pricing, stock/inventory management and reporting
