**The role**:
This role is responsible for the design and implementation of Payment & Enterprise Service’s (PES) business continuity strategy and program of work to:

- Drive business continuity commitment, support, ownership, and accountability
- Enable response readiness to minimise business and customer impact
- Ensure strategy remains effective and drive change to mature capability
- Ensure NAB, regulator and industry business continuity requirements and obligations compliance
- Mature enterprise critical functions business continuity processes and practices

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Design, implement, review, and maintain the business continuity strategy and framework aligned with best practices and industry standards
- Define and lead a coordinated business continuity program of work ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and external obligations
- Keep abreast of changes to our regulatory / industry obligations, best practices and trends, market disruptors to improve business continuity strategy and methods ensuring flexibility to change
- Drive assessments to identify business disruption risks and vulnerabilities, disruption impacts, business resilience challenges (process and infrastructure), and risk avoidance / mitigation strategies
- Govern quality of all business continuity management artefacts before submission or distribution
- Work collaboratively to ensure training, communication, testing and exercising of business continuity plans to ensure knowledge and confidence when activating plans during disruptions
- Collaborate with technology infrastructure and service teams to set recovery time objectives and convey business needs/expectations and identify and remediate gaps.
- Lead and or facilitate execution of business continuity plan and help the business navigate plan activation during disruption events including incident response plan activation
- Coordination and completion of the business continuity sections of annual industry compliance attestations

**What you will bring**:

- Previous experience planning and running a business continuity program within banking, payments industry or in a regulated company
- Extensive knowledge of business continuity planning, disruption and operations best practices, principles and strategies including standards and good management practice
- Demonstrated success managing through influence across multiple groups and levels including both technology and business stakeholders
- Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts to identify service continuity risks and vulnerabilities
- Demonstrated ability to deal with change and complex situations and identify opportunities for improvement
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent partnering, communication, and presentation skills and demonstrated ability to communicate at multiple levels within an organisation
