**The Role**
The Business Continuity Manager, reports to the Asia Pacific Head of Business Continuity Management and will ensure robust and holistic business continuity management (BCM) processes are in place and maintained in full compliance with Link Group corporate policy and all regulatory requirements in the Asia Pacific region.

You will provide a point of positive differentiation from our competition through best practise management of BCM functions.

You will deliver a high-level quality of service to our clients which is critical to the level of client satisfaction. This will result in positive differentiation in our service offering. This role will also work to enhance the department’s efficiency and effectiveness with continual improvement to service.

You also have the responsibility for enhancing the department’s profile and championing the importance of its activities.

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Strategic Focus
- Day to day management and adherence to the BCM Framework and Methodology including supporting templates and documentation.
- Assistance in the management of ‘real’ major disruption BCM events that are declared by the LINK Group Crisis Management Team
- Ensure that emergency communication systems and protocols are accurately maintained.
- Direct and assist with the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) for all Link Group Asia Pacific departments that are based in the Asia Pacific region.
- Assist with the annual testing of Link Group AAPAC BC plans and emergency communication systems.
- Document, track to completion and regularly report on actions arising out of the Emergency Communications, Business Continuity Planning and IT. Disaster Recovery plan tests and exercises as required by Manager.
- Review critical new and legacy vendors and business partners, material to the APAC Link Group business, to determine the adequacy of their internal business continuity controls as directed by Manager.
- Assist with driving continuous improvement in all aspects of the Link Group APAC BCM program.

Operational Management
- As directed by Manager assist with the process of updating all Link Group APAC Business Continuity Plans at least annually, in alignment with BIAs and as significant operational changes occur.
- As directed by Manager assist with the update to the Link Group Asia Pacific Disaster Recovery (DR) Plans at least annually, in alignment with BIAs, and, because of, internal system changes.

People Leadership
- Reporting is accurate and of high quality with mínimal input from manager before submitting to clients.
- Demonstrate an ability to discuss day-to-day processes with clients or other internal department managers.

Governance & Risk
- Compliance with legal, tax, regulatory, policy and business requirements

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Sound experience and track record in business continuity planning and IT disaster recovery management.
- Demonstrated understanding of APRA CPS 232 and CPS 230
- Working understanding of the Australian Financial -Service industry and relevant regulation
- Experience in dealing with Senior Management and preparing submissions for board risk committees.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Business Continuity related field
- Relevant tertiary qualifications desired. Certification from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or Disaster Recovery International (DRI) (preferred) Working knowledge of Material Outsourcing requirements and associated Australian regulatory requirements.
