About Us:
Welcome to Osteria 20, a vibrant and modern Italian restaurant known for our authentic cuisine, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service. With seating for 150 guests and a private function room for events, we are a high-volume venue that delivers both casual dining and memorable celebrations. We’re looking for an experienced and energetic Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team and ensure smooth, efficient operations day in and day out.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage daily operations across dining, bar, and function spaces
- Lead and inspire a team of waitstaff, hosts, and supervisors to deliver top-tier service
- Coordinate with the kitchen and events team to ensure seamless service during busy periods and private functions
- Handle rostering, staff training, and performance management
- Monitor inventory, control costs, and liaise with suppliers
- Track financial performance and assist with budgeting and reporting
- Maintain high standards in customer service, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Act as the face of the restaurant during peak times, handling customer inquiries and resolving issues professionally

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar managerial role within a high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, customer-first approach
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Confident managing private functions and coordinating large bookings
- Experience with POS systems, staff scheduling tools, and basic financial reporting
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certifications preferred
