**How will I help?**

As part of the Mortgages Business Controls Monitoring (BCM) team, you will drive non-financial risk management through delivering key reporting outputs and governance activities, to support the Mortgages LOB across all brands and channels.

The Governance and Reporting function (within BCM) is responsible for operating risk committees and forums and reporting risk insights across the Mortgages LOB to support the business in their risk management responsibilities.

You will be assisting with the end-to-end management of the Mortgages risk governance committees and facilitating the reporting of key risk insights including key indicators, emerging risks and risk appetite measures, and tracking actions where indicators and measures have exceeded.

This role reports into the Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring team of the Mortgages Lines of Business.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

- Supporting the end-to-end management of the Mortgages risk governance committees including authoring papers, co-ordinating committee meetings, taking minutes and actions, managing the forward calendar of committee activities, and ensuring that the committee meets its Terms of Reference
- Supporting the design and implementation of key indicators and the risk appetite statement across the Mortgages Line of Business in line with policy
- Supporting a forward looking risk view, through partnering with stakeholders to identify Emerging Risks and reporting on the CORE program.
- Supporting continuous improvement in the BCM Governance and Reporting function to ensure policy adherence and effective oversight of risk management across the Mortgages Line of Business
- Provide specialist advice and influence over Enterprise Frameworks and Policies across the Group and Division to ensure the Mortgages environment is appropriately considered
- Implementing Group-wide programs of uplift and enhancements relating to risk governance and reporting in the Mortgages Line of Business
- Supporting effective risk management in the Mortgages Line of Business by identifying, and reporting key risk insights relating to the business risk profile
- Drafting Line 1 risk committee papers, including visualising and reporting key risk profile insights
- Supporting the assessment of the business' risk profile and appetite, by reporting and operationalising key indicators, and risk appetite statement measures through the risk appetite dashboard, and tracking actions where the indicators or measures exceed tolerances
- Supporting the management of Emerging Risks through maintenance of the register and reporting of risks Divisional working groups
- Ensuring papers are tabled to the risk committees as required to meet policy and regulatory requirements
- Foster relationships to ensure collaboration the Mortgages LOB, other relevant LOB’s, Divisional Teams, and risk specialist stakeholders 2LOD Operational Risk, Financial Crime, Credit Risk and 2LOD Compliance
- Provide insights and reporting for key stakeholders
- Operate collaboratively to share and utilise effective learnings
- Adopt a continuous improvement focus to uplift approaches and existing practices
- Operate collaboratively to deliver on outcomes and share and utilise effective learnings
- Support and contribute to team deliverables to enable the success of the whole team.

**What do I need?**
- Previous experience in risk management or compliance within the Banking or Financial Services industry
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills, and outcomes focussed
- Tertiary qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) preferred
