As the Human Patient Simulation Officer, you will support the Schools in the Health Group to implement human patient simulation for learning and assessment activities by recruiting and maintaining a pool of appropriate actors and providing them with training and support. This involves working with the Human Patient Simulation Coordinator, as well as academic and other professional staff across the Group.

You will:

- Cast/identify human simulated patients appropriate to academic scenarios as required for learning and assessment activities across the Health Group.
- Orientate and train human simulated patients ensuring that they meet relevant standards and requirements.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of human patient simulated patients, their characteristics, and skills.
- Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships, and communicate effectively with key academic and professional staff, including Program Directors, Course Convenors, facilitators, School Managers, and other professional staff members, to ensure effective and timely delivery of authentic and effective human patient simulation learning experiences, and when undertaking quality improvement initiatives.
- Support a team of sessional staff (expert human simulation patients) who provide quality human patient simulation across the Group.
- Work with the Human Patient Simulation Coordinator to develop, implement, monitor, and maintain systems, processes, and procedures unique to the Human Patient Simulation program particularly those that focus on casting and verification of hours worked.

- This is a part time (60%), continuing position based at the Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples._

**Salary range**
The full-time equivalent base salary for HEW Level 5 position is in the range of $76,236 - $85,525 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range of $89,197 - $100,064 per annum

You will also have:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge, and a minimum of 3 years professional experience within the last 5 years.
