**Department/Unit Specific Overview**:
The Women's Office of Philanthropy & Community Investment (PCI) is responsible for all fundraising and philanthropic support for the Women's Hospital. The Office of Philanthropy & Community Investment's role is to source and manage funds from a range of channels, including:
- Individual donors
- Major donors
- Bequests
- Philanthropic trusts and foundations
- Corporate and community partnerships
- Community fundraising
The Office of Philanthropy and Community Investment** **is responsible for reporting to the RWH Board and Executive Offices.
**Position Purpose**
As a key leader in the team, the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a vibrant philanthropic function at the Women’s that is donor-centric, growth-driven, sustainable and strategically aligned with our culture and values.
This is an outbound-facing role, building strategic relationships and networks with potential major donors and corporate partners. The focus of the role will be to strengthen and expand our mid-level donor/partner base ($5,000 - $100,000), with the aim of increasing funding available for scholarships, equipment, and programs.
**Responsibilities & Major Activities**:
Responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
- Manage a portfolio of individual donors, community groups, charitable trusts and corporate partners with major gift potential
- Plan and implement relationship plans to achieve revenue targets
- Manage and grow donor activities as part of the scholarship program
- Proactively identify and package funding needs across the hospital
- Strategically use the CRM for major gifts and corporate partnership purposes.
- Plan philanthropic and donor engagement events.
**Key Selection Criteria**
**Essential Criteria**
- A tertiary level qualification in business, marketing, or related area.
- A minimum of three years of relevant fundraising experience, with a track record in securing $5,000+ individual major gifts and corporate sponsorships.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to a broad range of audiences and develop complex donor proposals.
- Experience working closely with key internal stakeholders to instil a culture of philanthropy within an organisation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex projects, set priorities and work to deadlines and budgets.
- Demonstrated success in aligning a CRM with major gifts and corporate partnership goals.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel (advanced) and Word (advanced).
- A current driver’s license.
