Philanthropy Australia is the national peak body for philanthropy organisation working to achieve a generous and inclusive Australia through more and better giving.
Philanthropy Australia is an independent non-profit organisation with more than 900 members including non-profit organisations, trusts and foundations, families, professional advisers and companies.
The organisation advocates for and provides education and resources to Australia's philanthropic and non-profit sectors.
The role
Reporting to the Director Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in creating and delivering marketing strategies to support both brand awareness and membership acquisition and retention.
With a level of autonomy and with the benefit of a broader team, this role is equally a content creation opportunity in addition to bringing both a digital and traditional marketing lens. This role requires passion, commitment and a genuine engaging nature.
In addition to this, the Marketing Lead is responsible for the following:
- Developing and delivering strategic end-to-end marketing planning
- Project managing all marketing activities for events and the biennial national conference to lift engagement and participation
- All digital and traditional marketing advertising projects
- Project coordination
- Market insights, using Salesforce, SEO, Squarespace, Wordpress – developing dashboards and data insights to further marketing planning for the new organisational strategy
- Create an uplift in brand awareness nationally to increase both membership sales and retention and exposure of the organisation's messages to Australia's philanthropic community
- Supporting research, membership and engagement
- Manage SEO/SEM, Canva, Vimeo, Social Media engagement and email marketing
- Monthly reporting and insights to further develop engagement
Skills and experience
To be successful as the Marketing Lead for Philanthropy Australia, you will have the following:
- 5–8 years' experience in marketing or a related field
- Proven track record of conceptualising and delivering marketing and digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and acquisition of members/audience
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement with both internal and external groups with an educational focus on marketing in the organisation and the benefits
- Experience in delivering and developing brand awareness and growth
- Demonstrated digital marketing experience including delivery of multi-channel campaigns
- Event coordination is advantageous but not essential
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A background in complex stakeholder groups, including member services where applicable
- Budget coordination is desirable
This role is a hybrid role (Melbourne CBD based) with flexibility. Philanthropy Australia is looking for a passionate, energetic and commercial professional, who has inspired ideas and is a team player.
