We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate team leader to join the team

**About the opportunity**:
The primary function of the role is to provide supervision, training and leadership to the team of Family Visit Support Workers, Youth Support Workers and Mentors as well as to provide direct service to families as required.

The role also provides guidance and support to a casual pool of Family Visit Support Workers to ensure successful family time for children and young people, family members and carers.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Tertiary Degree Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Early Education and or equivalent experience (working towards qualification also considered)
- Experience in supervising and leading a team
- Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development and the impact of trauma.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour and prevent and/or de-escalate crises.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with and engage vulnerable children, young people and their families.
- Demonstrated understanding of the relevant Government legislation applicable to the Permanency Program.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability; including records of children and young people and their families, team and organisational discussions.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evening, weekends and public holidays.
