A unique opportunity exists for a National Sales Manager to join our client who has grown exponentially through hard work, determination and ultimately from a passion for crafting premium spirits.

As part of the senior leadership team, you will develop and implement the tactical sales plans for the Australian market, working towards the goal of expanding market share and increasing business unit profitability both nationally and at a local level. Reporting to the COO, you will work towards continuing to provide exceptional products and services to customers and continuing to grow market share.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Proactively leading, motivating and managing the sales team to ensure KPI’s, targets and other business requirements are being met
- Working closely with the key and national accounts teams to ensure opportunities are getting maximum impact
- Being hands on, client facing and a strong influencer and negotiator
- Developing and implementing strategies to source new business, to meet and exceed sales targets and to build existing accounts
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of their product range and its positioning in the market
- Exceeding business objectives through effective planning, goal setting and building strategic relationships
- Analysing and monitoring sales data to develop strategies for improving future performance
- Staying abreast of industry news and market conditions
- Be experienced and accomplished within the liquor industry or FMCG
- At least five years’ experience in a sales management role, leading teams to deliver business outcomes
- Have a track record of managing and growing sales teams, worked across national accounts and have a good understanding of on-premise
- Be results focussed with a track record of success in both sales and management
- A proven ability to achieve objectives and demonstrate actual results and a passion for driving organisational performance
- Ability to communicate professionally, pragmatically and ability to influence both internally and externally
- Ability to effectively support the development of others through coaching, mentoring and guidance

With significant prior experience working within the drinks or FMCG industry, you bring knowledge and expertise in sales management, building mutually beneficial business relationships, strategic planning and implementing smooth seamless internal processes.

You are commercially savvy and can manage P&Ls, forecasts and budgets. Highly regarded are your leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills allowing you to identify, develop and implement key business initiatives.

You flourish in a role which is collaborative, agile, fast paced and hands on.
