This is a full time, permanent position currently based in Doncaster.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Peer & Pastoral Care, the primary objective of this role is the coordination of AV's Peer Support Program in line with AV's policies and procedures and relevant legislation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaise with managers and staff involved in challenging situations that require peer support and activate necessary support.
- Coordinate and activate members of the Peer Support Program to significant events and/or critical incidents and follow up/referral.
- Collate and report on peer support data quarterly, identify trends and actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and other organisations by attending meetings, conferences and training to promote and raise awareness of Wellbeing and Support Services and to enhance our knowledge and improvement of services provided within AV.
About you
**To be considered for this position you will possess**:
- Postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with high level relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience in emergency services or provision of wellbeing/peer support or project management.
- High level operational experience in coordinating programs, provide coaching, professional leadership, guidance, administrative skills, and ability to handle competing demands in a high-volume work environment.
- Demonstrated empathy and a high-level communication/interpersonal and the ability to develop collaborative relationships with integrity in working through sensitive/confidential issues.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing reports, rostering, and the ability to interpret awards and policies.
- Required to be available outside of ordinary working hours to provide advice, support or authoritative direction to other employees or managers involved in dealing with emergency or time critical incidents or issues (CAA1).
- A current Victorian Driver Licence.

Successful applicants will need to have received the mandated COVID-19 vaccinations and be willing to complete pre-employment screening including a Police Check.
This position is graded at AV5 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2021 AVMA.
