**About Chancellery Research and Enterprise**
The Chancellery (Research and Enterprise) (CRE) portfolio within the Chancellery Division is led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) (DVCR) and works in partnership with Academic Divisions to achieve the University’s ambitions for research and innovation, as articulated in Advancing Melbourne 2030.

**About the Role**
As the Research Strategy Project Officer, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate the implementation and management of key projects and strategic initiatives. Providing high-quality administrative support will be a key function of this role, and will see you develop guidelines and processes, collect financial and non-financial data and coordinate, prepare and submit associated reports. In working collaboratively across the organisation, you will support the effective delivery of research strategies, policies and targets, and continue to reflect the vision of the Advancing Melbourne strategy.

In a typical week at work, you may:

- Work closely with colleagues in academic divisions and shared services to design and implement improved processes for managing and reporting on strategic research initiatives
- Conduct research and analysis to prepare reports, correspondence, briefing notes and presentations for the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research), the Pro Vice Chancellors, Executive Director, Research Strategy and other senior colleagues as requested
- Develop processes and templates to collect data, draft reports and advise faculty staff on requirements, working closely with Chancellery Finance to report on expenditure against budget

**About You**
You will be a keen problem solver, who is able to deliver creative solutions and negotiate outcomes. You are results and solutions-focused, with the capacity to identify strategic risks, and exercise sound judgement when preparing and proposing solutions. As a team player, you support your colleagues and regularly contribute to a wide variety of projects. You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and your flexible nature enables you to quickly adapt your communication style based on your audience.

You will also have:

- A degree level qualification with subsequent relevant work-related experience or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Demonstrated ability to execute complex project reports and communicate reporting data to various stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and plan and deliver multiple project activities concurrently.
