We’re looking for a Part Time Project Officer who will play a key role in supporting our team and turning strategy into impact. In this role, you’ll manage small projects, coordinate team operations, and support the delivery of events, meetings and initiatives. About your new team
The National Child and Family Hubs Network, a nationwide, multidisciplinary initiative dedicated to strengthening Child and Family Hubs across Australia.
These Hubs provide safe, welcoming spaces where families can connect with each other and access the vital services and support they need - from health and education to community and wellbeing. Our Network brings together leaders, service providers, researchers, advocates, and policymakers to build a stronger, more connected system that ensures all children and families can thrive.
With a clear and co-designed strategic direction shaped by over 50 voices from across sectors - including families with lived experience - the Network is focused on practical action that makes a difference over the next 2-5 years.
**Your responsibilities include**:
- Drives project management for specific smaller projects under supervision
- Facilitate and lead internal and external meetings/workshops with stakeholders with support and direction to achieve project outcomes
- Manage and deliver discrete projects aligned with strategic goals
- Coordinate planning, logistics and team operations
- Maintain effective systems for administration and communication
- Support events, stakeholder engagement and internal coordination
- Help turn strategy into meaningful outcomes for families
**What we need from you**:
- Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in relevant field (eg health, public health, education)
- Demonstrated experience in project management including the planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently with a broad range of stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to clearly summarise and communicate meeting outcomes, and strategic activities to a range of audiences
- A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and take initiative in a dynamic environment
