**Position Summary**

**Project Lead (Research Office)**

**Fixed Term Position - 12 months**

**Part Time 32 hours per week**

The Research Office liaises with all research groups at RWH and reports to the Board and CEO through the Chief medical Officer.**Your contribution**
- The purpose of this position is to provide project support to the Research Director and wider research team in the development and collation of supporting research and documentation that will inform the development of the Women’s Research Institute (WRI) framework and proposal. The Project Lead will work collaboratively to gather and synthesize relevant information to support the formation of the WRI.- Reporting to the Research Director, this position requires initiative and an ability to work independently in sourcing and synthesizing information. Good writing and communication skills are essential to ensure output of impactful reports.- The Project Lead will also, where required, assist with day-to-day tasks of the Research Office to allow the Research Director and other staff to focus on WRI-related matters.- Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Provide expert advice (both project and research focused) to the Research Director and Women’s Executive team across a range of research activities to assist in strategic decision-making and project planning, with a particular emphasis on the establishment of a Women’s Research Institute (WRI).
- In consultation with the Research Director, develop strategic documents in support of the development of the Royal Women’s Hospital WRI.
- Complete data analysis, reviews, investigations and reporting throughout planning and execution, utilising analytical skills to enable fact-based decisions.
- Prepare written reports to communicate progress and inform project decisions, including briefings, discussion papers, project proposals and status reports.

**About you**
- To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area AND significant research experience
- Relevant experience of research management or demonstrated capacity to manage the complexity of research administration or strategic tasks.
- High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise and influence a range of people across all levels of the organisation and to effectively communicate analysis and advice to senior management
- Demonstrated leadership ability and capacity to coordinate staff in addition to working effectively as a member of a team
