Lead Analyst, Budget Estimates and OutcomesDepartment of the Legislative AssemblyPublic Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC)

About the roleReporting to the Executive Officer, PAEC you will manage the Budget Estimates and Outcomes team and oversee the annual inquiries into the budget estimates and financial and performance outcomes, including inquiry planning and report writing. The key focus of the position is analysing government expenditure, examining the outcomes achieved for the community from government spending and more broadly protecting the public interest. You will also plan and deliver community engagement programs and develop innovative and engaging ways to promote the committee's work.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with sound knowledge of current and emerging issues in government administration, expertise in analysing government programs and informing the government and the community about government spending.
About youYour communication and interpersonal skills will be a strength, particularly your success in building networks and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse range of contacts.
