Welcome to Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart, Tasmania’s premier conferencing and events facility. With a total of 11 conference and meeting rooms, we cater for events of all sizes; think gala balls, trade-shows, and conferences for up to 1100 delegates
We’re proud of our reputation in the industry and the many awards we’ve won over the years. We are known for having the best view in Hobart and amazing facilities, but it’s still our people that have made our business what it is today. **About you**
If you’ve always dreamed about having a career in events, then this is the role for you We’re looking for someone who is passionate about our industry and has the right attitude to learn and grow within the role. We’ll train the rest
You’re a driven, outgoing person who is full of energy and thrives off meeting new people and building rapport with them. You are articulate, efficient, detail-driven, and organised - lists are your best friend
**About the role**
In this role, our clients’ biggest events are in your hands You will be ensuring that every little detail has been thought of and executed to the tee This includes working with each department in the hotel to fulfil our clients’ requirements as well as guiding our Banquets Department to put all your plans into action You’re the client’s go-to person; creating a bond that you’ll come to miss when the event is all over.
There is no better feeling than seeing your event grow and come to life, in fact, we live for these moments You’ll be joining a Conference and Events team who are dedicated and full of pride in their work and they can’t wait to welcome you. It’s inevitable that no day is the same, and as busy as it gets, there is always room for laughter and fun
