**The Role**
Working closely with senior naval personnel, and from within the Maritime Domain Support Office (MDSO), these roles provide a unique opportunity to lead a small project team to assist in the advancement and implementation of programmatic naval capability.
The Program Management Office Leads will:
- Establish and develop relationships in support of a MDSO’s engagement in delivering programs embedded support across the Maritime Domain;
- Exercise an ability to negotiate and manage priorities and deadlines;
- Build and lead a small team of specialist contractors to advance a Program’s activity;
- Support the effort of the Deputy Director, Programs Embedded Coordination and Support, as well as other PMO Leads to coordinate and collaborate to deliver improved programmatic/program management across Navy Capability;
- Demonstrate a developing competence and willingness to undertake professional development in Managing Successful Programs (MSP);
- Work with the MDSO to review program/project performance and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Coordinate Program reporting requirements and work a range of stakeholders to ensure appropriate information is provided in a timely manner; and
- Possess strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
**About our Team**
These roles sit within the Maritime Domain Support Office (MDSO). The MDSO is the core enabling and executive support area working across Navy Capability Division. MDSO supports the Head of Navy Capability to establish requirements for, and then acquire, future maritime capability.
The vision of the MDSO is to "enable improved decision making, planning and delivery of Maritime Domain Capability effects and support to the Joint Force". The Joint Force relating to the entirety of the Australian Defence Force; Army, Navy and Air Force.
Within MDSO, these roles are part of the Program Embedded Support Directorate that is responsible for embedding specialist Program Management Office (PMO) functions to better facilitate program control and senior decision making across the Maritime Domain.
