**The Role**
As the APS 6 Quality Manager within the Electronic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) - Land Systems Program Office (SPO) you will be required to manage the governance, assurance and quality management in support of project and program delivery. The APS6 Quality Manager will work within a framework of legislation, regulations, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence’s mission and business objectives.
The APS6 Quality Managers role will analyse and implement improvements to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice is met. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will assess technical packages, reports, processes and product and equipment performance to meet specified requirements and identify and report non-conformances.
The APS 6 Quality Manager will possess sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia.
**About our Team**
Electronic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Branch, in JSD acquires, sustains and integrates electronic warfare capabilities into a wide variety of air, land and sea based platforms and systems.
EWIS Land Systems Program Office is comprised of members of diverse skills and disciplines who work together to deliver capability to a number of customers including Army and other government agencies.
- Have experience in the support and maintenance of Quality Management Systems.
- Have a track record in meeting audit schedules, managing workflows and resources whilst working in a dynamic and busy environment.
- Be able to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes.
- Possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Have high level organisational skills, self-drive and initiative with the ability to influence others to achieve tasks and business objectives.
