**About the role**:
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the L&D Manager will primarily be responsible for the development of the Distribution learning and development strategy and delivery program. This will be in consultation with the Business unit leaders and Operational teams within Aviation, Depots, Carriers, Engineering and Terminals. This role can be based either Sydney or Brisbane and will have 4 direct reports with an element of travel approximately once a month.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Provide contemporary and professional guidance on learning and development programs.
- Identify effective technology, programs and training platforms.
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
- Improve and build the Distribution business capabilities in Operational based training.
- Manage and develop a number of L&D Projects and initiatives.
- Manage specialist training requirements and associated contractors.
- Ensure effective administration of the LMS and associated reporting requirements.
- Responsible for improving Learning Stems and visibility proactive in promoting competency based training and adult learning.
**About you**:
You have proven minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within oil and gas or hazardous facility. You have a strong passion and focus on learning and development and thrive in delivering programs and training.
Your strong communications skills and interpersonal skills will support you in fostering key stakeholder relationships and deliver presentations effectively and efficiently.
You have demonstrated capability in leading and managing a team with the ability to motivate and develop.
**Skills and experience**:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
- Diploma in Training and Assessment (minimum cert IV)
- Minimum 5 years experience in Operational Learning and Development
- Previous experience in oil/mining or hazardous environment is ideal
- Strong people leadership skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Experience in using Learning Management Systems (SABA)
- High level of communication (verbal & written)
- Strong project management skills
- Strong computer literacy skills
