**About the role**:
Reporting to the L&D Manager, this role will provide L&D strategy development and support high risk roles within the Distribution Business. You will be responsible in ensuring training strategies maintain the necessary HSEQ capabilities, skills and knowledge to deliver business’ objectives effective and efficiently.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Understanding of the workforce’ ability to learn new skills, model new behaviours and adapt continuously through comprehensive knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles
- Develop and maintain consistent learning framework and learning solutions based on the strategic HSEQ requirements and training needs analysis.
- Identify optimal training delivery methods
- Provide directions and guidance to the implementers of change to ensure that appropriate learning strategies are embedded to enable safe, reliable and sustainable implementation of change.
- Provide expert guidance and support to ensure all regulatory, compliance and competency development issues are identified, managed, and implemented in a timely manner.
- Asist in designing and developing learning modules and programs
**About you**:
You have proven experience in a similar role preferably within oil and gas or hazardous facility. You have a strong passion and focus on learning and development and thrive in supporting this function.
You display high work ethic, a ‘can do’ attitude and strong communications skills with comprehensive knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles.
**Skills and experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree or Trade Qualifications in Human Resources, Training, Organisational Development or related discipline
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Operational background is ideal
- Previous experience in designing classroom-based and blending learning programs
- Sound knowledge of compliance and reporting process and procedures
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Ability to foster strong key stakeholder relationships
- High level of communication skills (verbal and written)
