Payroll Officer

Learning Links is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced and proactive Payroll Officer to join our Finance team during an exciting period of growth and change.

We’re in the midst of launching our new HRIS, payroll and rostering platform - Employment Hero (formerly KeyPay)

The Finance team are based in Alexandria but this is a hybrid role and can be worked flexibly from the office and home, or from any of our other sites.

**Day to day you will**:

- Accurately process end-to-end payroll, salary packaging, STP lodgement and superannuation.
- Ensure legislative and payroll compliance and manage payroll audits and reporting.
- Act as the primary contact to resolve employee payroll queries - with clarity and empathy.
- Provide interpretation on awards, enterprise agreements and legislation.
- Ensure the payroll platform is maintained with latest system enhancements ensuring pay records are complete and accurate.
- Assist with annual remuneration reviews.
- Increase adoption of salary packaging across the Learning Links team.
- Collaborate closely with People & Culture, IT, People Leaders and our provider Employment Hero and PayCat.
- Drive improvements in payroll processes and system optimisation.

**About you**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in payroll, human resources, finance, or a related field.
- Certification in payroll management or a related discipline.
- At least 2-5+ years of experience processing payroll.
- Experience in managing payroll projects and initiatives to improve efficiency.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail including meticulous and methodical approach to ensure accuracy in payroll processing and record keeping.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies and issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication to interact effectively with employees and management.
- Current Working with Children Check or happy to obtain one.
- Prior experience working with salary packaging providers.
- Prior experience using Key Pay or Employment Hero highly valued.
