**Our client is an active manager of major long-term PPP infrastructure assets on behalf of investors. They are looking for an experienced sustainability and risk professional to join the executive lead team and lead the delivery of ESG/sustainability within their strategic plan.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As the GM Sustainability and Risk, you will be responsible for driving functional excellence in regard to WHS, environment, sustainability, quality, enterprise risk management and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing strategic oversight of corporate and business unit sustainability strategy and targets.
- Providing strategic oversight of systems and processes that support business activities, safety, risk management and assurance.
- Overseeing and championing the development and implementation of an integrated, organisation wide WHS framework and strategy, while actively supporting all business unit and asset category teams to drive improvement in safety culture and performance.
- Providing high level advice and support on Environment, Sustainability, WHS, Quality and Enterprise Risk Management to the leadership team and functional/asset managers to enable them to meet their responsibilities and obligations.
- Overseeing and championing the development and implementation of Emergency Management and Business Continuity plans to ensure organisational readiness with a focus on continuous improvement.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Qualification in relevant discipline (i.e., safety or business) with post-graduate/industry qualifications highly desirable.
- Proven executive level experience within Sustainability, Safety or Risk, leading functional teams and driving strategy.
- Excellent understanding of triple-bottom-line sustainability principles and commercial drivers for ESG, Sustainability and Safety.
- Outstanding leadership, engagement and influencing skills with the capacity to design organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate in the external and internal environments.
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and communications in diverse, internal and external environments.
- Experience in executive, committee and Board reporting.
