You will be working closely with change makers so you will really be able to feel the impact you are having in this role. You will be advising and providing your expertise on how to best improve the councils HR functions.

You will be working in an inclusive and collaborative HR team. You will have your own portfolio of clients support but the wider HR team are there to assist if needed

The position would suit someone looking for a friendly collaborative team, who is confident to manage their own workload but also ask questions when needed.

This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm. Initially contracted for 3 months but there could be an opportunity to extend. They are working hybrid
- 60/40 split work from home & in the office - flexible start times.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- To provide coaching and guidance to council leaders, supporting them to lift engagement and performance with their people
- Systems and support that enables the council to attract, retain and develop talent
- Provide innovative and improved work practices that promote the sustainability and vitality of our organisation
- Attending departmental meetings and providing partnering support to the team
- Undertake routine employee relations case management
- Learning and development support
- Update applicable HR policies and procedures
- Provide advice and support to leaders and employees through change processes and restructures

**You will have the following**:

- Qualifications in Human Resources are essential. Experience using organisational culture diagnostic tools would be a hugely beneficial.
- Local Government experience would be advantageous
- Proven experience in delivering contemporary Human Resources practices
- Previous experience delivering a transformational culture change program
- The ability to implement purpose led organisational development and engagement initiatives that lift workplace culture.
- Proven experience in leading change programs across large and complex organisations.
- A drive and willingness to constructively challenge the norms and contribute to a future of innovation and inspiration.
- A customer centric approach to business partnering and stakeholder engagement.
- Fresh thinking and a passion for people.
