**About the company**

A local government based in the western suburbs are looking for a business partner to support their people ad capability department.

The organisation operates a hybrid work style, 3 days from home and 2 from the office. This is a full-time role, working Monday through to Friday. The position is initially a 6-month contract, but it could lead to longer term opportunities.

This role requires someone to be a hands-on HR generalist, you will be required to provide a broad range of HR advice and guidance. Including, but not limited to; industrial relations; employee relations; organisation change and development; work design; performance management; recruitment; and continuous improvement.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Partner with business leaders to support the organisation with any HR related matters and change
- Coach and guide leaders in performance management cases, disciplinaries and any union advice
- Drive strategy and best practice for recruitment and sourcing
- Provide analytics and advice for workforce planning strategies
- Working closely with recruitment officers to provide a timely end to end recruitment service
- Research, develop and implement projects, change for organisational HR initiatives
- Research and implement projects and strategies in line with operational business plans and objectives
- Develop and provide input to and undertake policy and procedure reviews, implementation, and communication
- Monitor and produce reports on HR metrics, organisational charts, and other measures through HRMIS

**You will have the following**:

- Degree in Human Resources or relevant discipline with significant experience in generalist HR management or lesser formal qualifications and extensive relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in research and implementation of strategies and projects in line with operational business plans and objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- Ability to independently monitor and produce reports on relevant HR metrics to deliver contemporary solutions focused HR initiatives to assist in driving change
