**About us**

Local Land Services (LLS) is an Executive Agency of the Department of Regional New South Wales. It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. This regionally based organisation brings together a wide range of service and advisory functions including agriculture, biosecurity, natural resource management, land management, biodiversity, emergency services and private native forestry.

**About the Role**:
This is a full-time role with the key function to implement best practice natural resource management (NRM) actions at 900 ha landholding in the Cumberland Plain, Western Sydney. The role requires a motivated individual who has well developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage projects. The role will also occasionally require work across all functional areas of LLS including agriculture, biosecurity and emergency management.

**About You**:
Ideally you’ll have an environmental science or environmental management background, a passion for natural resource management, ability to work closely with and understand the needs of both landowners and community groups, and proven project management skills. An interest in the ecology of Cumberland Plain natural environments would also be ideal.

You’ll be self-motivated, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain trust with land managers, community and industry groups to deliver on-ground programs.

Experience in undertaking Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement (MERI) to evaluate the success of extension programs would also be a bonus.

As an essential requirement of the role, you’ll also need to have a current NSW Driver Licence, and the capacity and willingness to travel as required.
