About the role
We are recruiting for a Project Officer in the Strategic Land Use Planning team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-going management of Council's land use planning policy framework. This includes preparing strategies, policies and precinct plans; preparing, assessing and processing planning proposals (Local Environmental Plan amendments); and preparing Development Control Plans.
About You
You are Tertiary qualified in town planning or equivalent. Applicants may have experience in the following; however, this is not essential; culture, economic development, social or environment.
You will also bring:
- Proven experience in statutory or strategic planning or allied professional experience and an understanding of the NSW planning system.
- A track record of achieving strategic objectives with demonstrated success in working with or for the public sector.
- Experience in generating and communicating statutory plans and strategies and preparing related reporting.
- Project management skills and experience.
- Experience in analytical, creative thinking and problem solving across a range of strategic projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to work with initiative and versatility on a wide range of matters, including solving a range of complex planning related problems through innovation and collaboration.
- Established written and verbal communication skills that can adapt to a diverse range of audiences.
Essential qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in town planning or equivalent.
What's on offer
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $104,610 - $115,174 plus 12% superannuation.
This role is permanent full time and within the City Planning and Design Directorate.
