Local Land Services (LLS) is an Executive Agency within the Department of Regional NSW. It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. **About the role**

This hands-on role supports agricultural trials focused on horticulture and pastoral demonstrations, aiming to improve landholder productivity and sustainability. You will be responsible for assisting in the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of on-ground trials, along with general site maintenance and plant and equipment care.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assist in establishing and maintaining agricultural trials focused on sustainable horticulture and pastoral practices.
- Perform general maintenance tasks around the farm, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including tractors and ATVs, in a safe and effective manner.
- Ensure all activities align with the farm’s objectives of improving landholder production and sustainability.
- Liaison with key stakeholders to provide a high quality customer experience and promote our strategic objectives.

**What you need to have for this role**:

- AQF3 Chemical Accreditation: Essential for safe chemical handling, especially with pesticides and herbicides.
- Driver’s License: A valid license is required for on-site and farm transport needs.
- Equipment Operation: Demonstrated experience with tractors and ATVs.
- Agricultural operation: Knowledge and experience in agricultural production particularly with irrigated vegetables and other crops.
- Labour and administration: Ability to maintain facilities and prepare for events and activities, including ground keeping, venue set-up and record keeping.
- WHS and food safety: Knowledge and experience in WHS and food safety practices and accountability.
- Communication skills: Good communication skills to engage with customers and industry partners who engage with Greater Sydney LLS in using the Demonstration Farm for demonstration trials and events
