Join a global manufacturing business in Western Sydney as their Logistics Manager on a permanent basis, leading logistics operations nationally.

**Your new role**

In your new role as logistics manager, you’ll have full responsibility for the operations team and end-to-end logistics on a national basis. Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

- Leadership of all personnel within the logistics function, including recruitment of new staff, performance management, training, and career development.
- Full-cycle inventory management, ensuring accuracy of stock records, avoiding out of stocks, performing cycle counts and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
- Ownership of the import and export of finished goods and raw materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and forming strong working relationships with freight providers.
- Communication across multiple business units including production and finance, as well as with external customers and service providers.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience in a similar management role within logistics, ideally in a manufacturing/engineering environment, with qualifications in a related area of study highly regarded.
- Demonstrated knowledge across logistics operations, warehouse management, transport, freight, and inventory control, with the ability to manage a departmental budget.
- Proven people management skills, with a track-record of exceptional team leadership and a clear ability to build and mentor high performance teams in a multi-site environment.
- A valid forklift license or the willingness to obtain will be highly regarded, as well as the openness for semi-regular travel requirements.
