We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Generalist to join our team and support our organization through a period of transformational and IT change. This is a dynamic role that requires agility, hands-on approach, and expertise in change management, industrial relations (IR), organizational development (OD) and Business Partnering. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating successful change initiatives, providing guidance to managers, and ensuring effective communication throughout the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the organization through a period of transformational and IT change, providing comprehensive HR expertise and guidance.
- Conduct role mapping exercises to identify key positions and responsibilities impacted by the change, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and update position descriptions (PDs) to align with the transformed roles and responsibilities.
- Prepare communication materials, including letters and announcements, to effectively communicate change impacts to employees, ensuring transparency and clarity.
- Coach managers on change management strategies, providing guidance on how to navigate employee concerns and facilitate smooth transitions.
- Collaborate with the HR team to design and deliver training programs that support change initiatives and enhance organizational capabilities.
- Leverage your industrial relations (IR) background to address employee relations matters, manage negotiations, and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Utilize your organizational development (OD) background to identify areas for process improvement, implement change interventions, and foster a positive and high-performance work culture.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably with a focus on supporting transformational and IT change initiatives.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
- Experience in industrial relations (IR) and familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
- Background in organizational development (OD) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively prepare and deliver communications related to change impacts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing coaching and guidance to managers and employees.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to HR challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Contract Details:

- Contract duration: 6-9 months
- Compensation: $600-650 + Super per day
- Footscray or Sunbury office location available
