**In this role you will**:

- with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), collaborate with senior leaders to understand the organisation's goals and strategy and develop strategies that enable departmental objectivesto be achieved
- support the development and implementation of workforce management plans, succession and development plans and other associated human resource management plans
- deliver HR consultancy across the department, particularly in relation to industrial and employee relations, performance management, workplace health and wellbeing, organisational development and change
- manage and act as escalation point for complex employee matters including investigations and grievances
- develop, implement and provide advice on HR strategies, policies and projects based on organisational priorities, contemporary best practice and the industrial framework.

**Note**: The position may undertake travel to city, regional and remote locations including overnight stays and may require occasional travel to remote locations including overnight stays. Some communities have alcohol management plans and restrictions in place. Possession of a current driver's license is a mandatory requirement. The position may be required to work out of business hours, including weekends.
