**The Role**
The Explosive Learning and Development Specialist supports the design, development, and evaluation of comprehensive learning programs tailored to the needs of personnel involved in explosives handling and safety.

This role collaborates closely with the Curriculum Developer/Instructional Designer to ensure the delivery of engaging and effective learning experiences.

**About our Team**
The Explosives Safety Regulatory Framework (ESRF) is an outcome focused, principle based framework, which aligns with Commonwealth Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation for managing the risks that Explosive Ordnance presents. The ESRF integrates with and supports Defence work health and safety policy and other related Defence regulatory systems that enable Defence Capability.

The Directorate of Ordnance Safety (DOS) administers the ESRF for Defence, maintaining the knowledge necessary to inform the management of critical explosives safety risks within the Defence Enterprise. This provides exciting opportunities to build upon your existing engineering and chemistry experience, developing specialist explosives and engineering skillsets, and advising innovative and novel Defence projects.

The Directorate of Ordnance Safety is looking for an agile and enthusiastic individual who possesses strong engineering and technical skills with a commitment to training and developing others.

Importantly, they will have the ability to develop good relationships and support networks across a wide array of stakeholders.
- Have knowledge and experience in guided weapon and explosive ordnance systems that can assist in the development of learning and development programs, contributing ideas for content, structure, and delivery methods.
- Support in creating and revising training materials, including handouts, instructional guides, and e-learning content. They will ensure that that all materials are engaging, educationally effective, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners. Furthermore, they will support the evaluation of learning programs through the collection and analysis of feedback from participants and trainers. They will be dynamic and keen to continuously improve systems and processes in an effort to ensure that lean methodologies are used by the team and organisation.
