**The Role**
The Explosive Ordnance (EO) Branch (EOB) Deputy Business Manager will:
- Manage Branch finances including budgeting, accounts payable and reporting;
- Assist with Branch business planning, performance management and risk management planning;
- Manage the Branch human resources including reserve management and APS recruitment; and
- Provide other support, as required, to the Branch Business Manager.
The EOB Deputy Business Manager will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve EOB and Defence outcomes.
**About our Team**
Explosive Ordnance Branch provides EO services to the whole of the ADO. Its responsibilities include the maintenance of an effective and comprehensive EO safety regime; the provision of EO proof, test and evaluation services; efficient EO logistics management; and whole-of-Defence EO governance. The Branch also has responsibility for managing the implementation of recommendations from both the Review of Defence Policy and Procedures for the Management of Explosive Ordnance. Flexible working arrangements are available.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate:
- High level stakeholder management skills, especially when liaising with stakeholders in relation to complex issues;
- Personal drive, initiative and the ability to help shape the Branch through the development of improved business management processes;
- The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively; and
- High level written and verbal communication skills, especially when dealing with personnel and information of a sensitive nature.
