**Introduction to Department**
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a service provider, regulator and central agency of government. We are transforming the way we do business to help make NSW great.
This is an essential role in overseeing the maintenance and day to day running of multiple tenancies in both Sydney and Parramatta CBD’s, within large scale commercial buildings, supporting a variety of Agencies and business units within DCS.
You will be responsible for managing and facilitating repairs, minor works and coordinating Facilities/Asset Maintenance, engaging with various stakeholders and contractors as required.
**Additional Responsibilities and Duties include**:
- Providing recommendations around repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance schedules in line with business priorities and legislative guidelines
- Assisting in monitoring emergency management training and compliance across a number of DCS tenancies
- Ensure that staff, contractors and members of the public are provided with a safe environment to work and visit.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and other relevant regulations
- Preparing documentation and coordinating works or repairs of reported building / tenancy issues making sure they are appropriately dealt with in a timely manner
- Confirm that occupation levels are in accordance with DCS standards
- May be required to work out of hours and be on-call
- Current NSW driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel throughout the state when required
- Satisfactory Criminal history check
**To be successful in this role you will require**:
- Satisfactory criminal records check
- Previous experience in working in a building facilities management role, with a strong focus on commercial buildings
- Sound trade/building services experience and knowledge
- Trade qualification will be highly regarded in a relevant field
- Ability to engage with stakeholders using strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to liaise with contractors and understand time frames, costs and materials in relation to maintenance requirements
- Working cooperatively with the Workplace Services teams
