**The Role**
The Army People Capability Branch is seeking an Industrial Relations and Remuneration Manager to join the Army Industrial Remunerations team. Industrial Relations experience as well as experience working within Defence and/or Army HR processes is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of industrial relations, including workplace bargaining, workplace investigations and policy interpretation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidance related to industrial relations and remuneration.
- Provide advice and guidance to employment category sponsors on the development of pay cases in preparation for pay decisions through the Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal process.
- Conduct research and analysis on historical pay cases to inform the development of remuneration policy and procedures.

**About our Team**
The position will work for SO1 Industrial Relations and Remuneration (Army LTCOL) to manage and represent Army salary equities in the joint environment.

The team will be responsible for;
- Assisting employment category sponsors in drafting pay submissions
- Advising senior leadership and salary and allowance matters
- Answering inquiries from administrators and career advisors
- Researching historical pay cases to inform current decisions.

**Skills**:

- Ability to use and manage basic databases
- Ability to use and be proficient with digital record keeping and editing (eg. pdf).
- Be quick to adapt to Defence systems and processes

**Experience**:

- Have previous experience working with Industrial Relations matters (highly desirable)
- Have experience working in Defence, Public Service Commission or other government department (highly desirable)
- Have experience working with ADF employment categories (desirable).
