**The Role**
The Military People Branch is seeking an Industrial Relations and Remuneration Manager to join the Army Industrial Remunerations team. Industrial Relations experience as well as experience working within Defence and/or Army people processes is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidance related to ADF industrial relations and remuneration.
- Conduct research and analysis on historical pay cases to inform the development of remuneration changes, policy and procedures.
- Provide advice on pay and pay related allowance policy.
- Contribute to the development of pay change cases.

**About our Team**
The position will work with the Army Lieutenant Colonel responsible for Industrial Relations and Remuneration to manage and represent Army salary equities in the joint environment.

The team will be responsible for:

- Assisting employment category sponsors in drafting pay submissions.
- Advising senior leadership on salary and allowance matters.
- Answering inquiries from commanders, administrators, members and career advisors on salary and allowance issues.
- Researching historical pay cases to inform current decisions and future propositions.
- Self-starter that can demonstrative initiative.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrate creative and resourceful in problem solving skills.
- Ability to use and be proficient with digital record keeping and editing (eg. pdf).
- Be quick to adapt to Defence systems and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit difference audiences.
- Have previous experience working with Industrial Relations (desirable)
- Have experience working in Defence or other government department (highly desirable)
- Have experience and understand of Army or ADF employment categories (desirable).
