Permanent Accounts Payable position available in Hobart's northern suburbs

Based in the Northern Suburbs of Hobart, this privately owned Tasmania company has been in business for over 50 years working within the civil construction industry. They started with 2 employees and now have over 130 state-wide and pride themselves on quality service for every project.

**Your new role**

The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for providing support to the Finance Manager in a full-time, permanent capacity. The role duties include, but are not limited to:

- Processing of invoices
- Receiving supplier invoices, matching purchase orders and dealing with issues arising from discrepancies.
- Reconciling creditor statements with variances investigated, explained, and actioned.
- Timely and accurate processing of creditor invoices to ensure all payments are made according to terms. Reviewing coding and amending where necessary. Ensuring job costing is applied appropriately and accurate recording of GST.
- Other ad hoc processing work as necessary.
- Credit card payments
- Communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Supporting in the month-end process’

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Desire to focus on process improvement
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Pro-active nature
- Strong communication abilities (both written and verbal)
- Highly proficient with Excel, especially functions such as V-lookup and Pivot tables
- Experience using the Greentree system is desirable but not essential.
