CEM is a hotel management company operating businesses around Australia.
Located in Abbotsford and Hawthorn, these locations offer access to greater Melbourne - sport, food, entertainment - suitable for corporate and leisure guests alike. CEM are looking for a highly organised, hospitality professional for a 12-month maternity leave position (full-time working 38 hours per week), supporting our Front office team at both properties.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Property Managers, the role involves leading the reception teams, as well as hands-on reception tasks, including delivering effortless guest experiences, providing friendly, personalised customer service in responding to accommodation enquiries, promoting the business to achieve sales targets, processing reservations and ensure full and accurate data capture, assisting corporate and leisure guests, and ensuring the smooth running of the reception team and function.
Your team leadership activities will involve working closely with the Property Manager on recruitment, rostering, training and leadership of the front office team to ensure high levels of work productivity and quality, and positive employee engagement and retention.
The role also has a administration focus on debtor management, assisting with invoicing and payroll, restaurant charge-back and reconciling commissions.
Will demonstrate a passion for customer service, advanced skills in promoting and selling accommodation services and facilities, excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, high standards of personal presentation, and strong leadership capabilities.
Prior experience in a front office reception role in a hotel environment is essential, and prior experience with leading a team would be a distinct advantage.
Qualifications in a business discipline or the hospitality, travel or tourism industries would be highly regarded.
The successful applicant must be available to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia.
