**Life in the Blue Mountains**
A scenic 2.5-hour drive from Sydney, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is an ultra-luxury conservation resort located in the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage-listed region. The resort offers award-winning culinary experiences, a range of nature activities including hiking, four-wheel driving, cycling and horse riding and the One&Only Spa, for pampering spa and wellness experiences.
Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is highly acclaimed in the industry, it continues to be awarded for its excellence in tourism, accommodation, spa, cuisine, and sustainability.
**Job Summary**
To manage the recruitment/acquisition with the Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley Head of Department teams on retention and succession planning activities to establish the resort as an employer of choice globally.
This position will focus on maintaining high performance multicultural talents by ensuring proper recruitment and retention strategies and measures are established and in place.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
**Recruitment / Acquisition**
- Ensure that all recruitment is in line with the approved levels, salaries and benefits set for each position
- Work with Finance to ensure that department manning levels are satisfactory to operational requirements and align with the approved budget. Own the manning guide and share relevant information with HODs (Heads of Departments)
- Fully utilize the global HR systems for recruitment purposes
- Ensure recruitment processes run efficiently and timely by supporting and guiding HODs with department-level recruitment
- Assist management with the compilation of job descriptions and skills specifications and ensure that they are updated
- and relevant on an ongoing basis
- Work with HODs to ensure the person's specifications are understood
- Implement company standards on background checks and record keeping ensuring data privacy legislation is adhered to
- To liaise with local and international schools and recruitment agents in recruiting employees
- Have a firm understanding of market salary survey data within industry/region
- Plan, coordinate and conduct recruitment drive events/fairs / travel
- Liaise with local and international schools for potential interns/scholarships
- Coordinate offer contracts, pre-employment documentation and return of same, including e-filing of documentation
**Retention**
- In partnership with the HR Manager and HOD coordinate all contract probationary evaluations and contract renewal processes
- Maintain a culture of high performance and development together with the HR Manager
- Encouraging career development plans which includes intercompany transfers
- Developing effective mentoring programs to develop talent
- Utilizing performance management systems efficiently to identify and reward internal promotions
- Focus on internal talent development and retention
- In partnership with the HR Manager, analyze factors that impact retention and understand reasons for colleague departures (via the Exit Interview process).
- Identifying management and supervisory best practices for retaining great employees
**Other HR Duties / Responsibilities**
- Assist the HR team with HR-related generalist duties as required including backfill for leave within the team (including but not limited to training facilitation, onboarding processes, employee engagement and employee relations).
**Location - Wolgan Valley HR Office with flexibility.**
