This position is part of the Civic Facilities team, which facilitates the efficient operation and maintenance of the Civic Centre building and IBIS building and undertakes a range of timely and accurate tasks as required. It also provides assistance in other areas of the Governance & Legal department.
About position
**Duties include but not limited to**:
Raising and lowering of flags daily and understanding flag protocols
Setup for meetings and functions including moving/lifting of tables/chairs/equipment
Maintaining Various Stock Levels - envelopes/paper/consumables as necessary
Knowledge of Oracle Financial system
Liaising with contractors re; maintenance issues/lights/toilets
Changeover of paper recycling bins
Attend the citizenship ceremonies afterhours
Managing the Facilities Mailbox and actioning all items
Other duties as directed
About you
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
experience in a similar facilities role
aptitude to undertake manual handling tasks
must be proactive and use initiative
ability to multi-task
availability to start early/finish late if required
exceptional interpersonal skills
strong attention to detail
medium understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products
