**Who we’re looking for**:

- The objective of the Airline Automation Data Specialist role is to democratize Sabre Intelligence Exchange data so it can be used strategically across the business. This source of data is also required to be governed, to reduce risk for the organisation. It will be the responsibility of this role to implement and maintain this governance. The role will assist projects by designing/creating data pipelines and taking ownership of associated data issues.**This is a 12 months fixed term contract based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne**

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Design, develop, test and implement Sabre IX solutions to meet the requirements and expectations stated in use cases submitted to the team.
- Ensure that the code built is aligned to coding best practices set by Sabre and the Virgin Australia IX team.
- Perform unit testing of the automations and ensure that it meets all the business requirements.
- Create and maintain data pipelines to provide the business with streaming near real-time data to solve business problems.
- Responsible for utilising and creating various re-usable assets to accelerate the automation of business processes.
- Resolve Sabre IX use case related issues and incidents as per defined support and maintenance procedures
- Set up and head the IX Data Working Group to further democratise the data, educate and train stakeholders, resolve issues, update on progress.

**You’ll be great in this role if you**:

- Track record of identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and delivering effective change
- Hands on experience with the technologies: Cloud computing, AWS technologies, Java, Sabre Intelligence Exchange, Oracle SQL, Unix.
- Experience delivering business outcomes and change management
- Familiarity with Airline PSS Systems, specifically SabreSonic and Amadeus Flight Management products.
- Experience with other automation technologies, API, Workflow tools, chatbot technologies
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving skills in a complex Business Systems environment.
