**About the role**:
Student Support Services provides high quality and culturally responsive services within schools and preschools to assist them in meeting the needs of all children. The Aboriginal Cultural Advisor (ACA) will work as part of a team within SSS such as School Mental Health Service, Flexible Services RT. The ACA will work to ensure students are central to the design and delivery of flexible service delivery approaches. This will include engaging with relevant local Aboriginal community members in South Australia to support culturally responsive service provision and building the cultural capability of the Student Support Services.
The ACA will be responsible to relevant leadership for supporting the development of systems and processes to ensure cultural considerations are embedded within the operational management of service approaches. The ACA will actively network with the broader team of Aboriginal employees within the directorate to advance the development of culturally responsive services.
The role requires Aboriginal expertise, cultural knowledge and life experience.
**Qualifications**:
**Essentia**l**: Relevant experience in service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
**Desirable**: Certificate IV or higher education qualification in education, human or community services, or equivalent experience. Leadership and management training.
**Special conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
