**Description**:
Purpose
The Contact Officer will be responsible for the completion of progress contacts in the Perth and the surrounding area and regional locations as per contract guidelines. The role will work as part of an extended service team, ensuring regular contacts are completed to ensure the successful completion of apprenticeships.
**Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
Undertake contractual progress contacts face-to-face as required
Assessment completed as per operating guidelines
6-12 month progress contact completed as per operating guidelines
24-36 month progress contact completed as per operating guidelines
Complete in person site checks for clean energy apprentices as required at the 6-12 months and 24 months - completion points
Completion of all data entry as trained in Ready Apprentice
Reporting of completed contacts to manager weekly
Work together with all areas of The Apprenticeship Community team to ensure that KPIs are being met
**Skills and Experiences**:
Personal Attributes
Highly developed interpersonal skills - ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, gain their confidence and build a sense of mutual understanding of needs and objectives
Desire to work within a client service organisation
Ability to operate in a highly ethical manner in accordance with the AA contractual requirements, client expectations and The Apprenticeship Community high quality and performance orientated culture
Natural ability to negotiate, mediate and problem-solve
Experience in analysing, evaluating and resolving complex problems
Commitment to community development and the securing of employment outcomes
Required Experience
Demonstrated experience working in a mentoring or coaching capacity
Experience in social sciences, behavioural sciences, youth work or another community-based discipline
Experience in leading, motivating and communicating with a broad range of people including youth
Demonstrated ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to community development philosophy and practice
Proven experience in planning, initiating, developing and managing mentoring options
Demonstrated negotiating, mediating and problem-solving skills
Well-developed oral communication skills (including presentation, influencing and negotiation) and written communication skills (including the production of well-formatted reports and documentation)
Desirable Qualification
Experience in apprenticeships, VET or employment services, youth work, social sciences
Experience in the interpretation of complex guidelines and contracts
