About the role
Are you a strategic leader with deep treasury expertise and a passion for driving impactful financial outcomes? Coles is seeking a dynamic Head of Treasury & Strategic Projects to lead our treasury operations and spearhead strategic initiatives that shape the financial future of our business.
You’ll also:
- Oversee daily cash management and treasury settlements to ensure Coles has sufficient liquidity to fund payments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial bankers and external stakeholders to explore financing options and lead negotiations on strategic projects
- Develop debt funding strategies, navigating assumptions and targets, challenging submissions and identifying opportunities
- Act as a key link between the CFO team and the broader business, ensuring accurate planning, forecasting, and reporting of treasury-related activities
- Lead group-wide strategic initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes that align with Coles’ long-term goals
- Review business processes to understand financial impacts and recommend improvements that enhance commercial outcomes
About you and your skills
You’ll also have:
- Proven treasury leadership and/or legal experience in a large ASX-listed company
- Proven commercial decision making experience across previous roles
- Exceptional relationship management and influencing skills, with a track record of achieving win/win outcomes
- Strong commercial acumen and business focus, with highly developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to lead calmly under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style
